“We may have opened our first clinic in 1982, but that doesn't mean we're old. Just like our new 3D dental scanners, we want our marketing to be cutting-edge and speak to young families.” - Nicola Di Lullo, Practice Director

Studio Di Lullo has been around since 1982. Not stuck there, though. They’ve got the credentials, the charm, and now, a 3D dental scanner that looks like it belongs in a sci-fi film. When it came to marketing, they wanted the same energy: modern, smart, and not trying too hard.

They had an idea. What if a dental studio… made a game?

Their younger patients - and honestly, their parents too - live on phones. Games are familiar, low-pressure, and (if done well) actually fun. So instead of handing out tired leaflets about sugar and plaque, the team wanted to speak their patients’ language.

“My kids are raised on video games. I still sneak in a round of Angry Birds when no one’s looking. Why not make something for the waiting room they’d actually care about?” - Nicola Di Lullo, Practice Director

The game

We built a small, sharp pixel-art platformer with Fiero.
You play as a friendly, fast-moving character dodging sweets, soda cans, and sneaky cake slices, basically all the villains of good oral hygiene. No dentists chasing you. No talking molars. Just simple, joyful gameplay with a point.

Built entirely in Fiero’s no-code engine.
No scripts. No dev headaches. Just drag, drop, and press play.

From brief to playable in 7 days.

The results

  • 4,200+ plays in the first month

  • 3.4 min avg session time

  • 27% replay rate

  • Game page bounce rate: 28% (site avg: 61%)

  • 22% of traffic driven by the game alone

Offline, the response was instant. Kids played it in the waiting room. Parents shared it in group chats. The Di Lullo team overheard actual high score debates at reception.

“We’ve been around for decades but that doesn’t mean we want to feel old. The game gave us a fun way to show that we’re still keeping up.” - Practice Director

Why it worked

  • It made brushing teeth cool (somehow).

  • It gave people something to do instead of something to read while waiting.

  • It used Fiero so we could prototype, test, and ship the idea fast.

Studio Di Lullo proves traditional businesses can win with innovative digital experiences.
